Privacy Policy

This is a small editorial site and its privacy practices are correspondingly short. We collect as little as the site can function on, and we do not sell anything we collect to anyone, for any purpose, ever.

What is collected

• Server logs. Standard web-server records — IP address, timestamp, page requested, referring page, browser and operating system — retained for a limited period to keep the site running and to detect abuse.
• Aggregate analytics. Anonymised counts of page views, used only to see which entries are read. No profiles are built and no individual visitor is identified.
• Correspondence. If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to answer you and to maintain a record of corrections.

What is not collected

There are no accounts, no logins and no user profiles. We take no payments and therefore hold no payment details. We do not run advertising networks, behavioural trackers or cross-site tracking pixels, and we do not share, rent or sell data to third parties. No personal data is used to target you with anything, here or elsewhere.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies of its own for tracking purposes. Embedded font files are served from a third-party provider whose own terms apply to that request; if you prefer to avoid this, browser settings or an extension can block external font loading without breaking the site's layout.

Opting out and your choices

You may opt out of analytics by enabling your browser's Do Not Track or global privacy control setting, which we honour, or by using any standard blocking extension. To ask what correspondence we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, write to editor@courtcommandershu.com and we will comply within a reasonable period.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version replaces this page and the edition line in the footer is updated.
